This floor pattern always reminds me of Alice in Wonderland.

The elevators no longer go to this floor so there's no reason to keep it clean. Since the 1950s this area has been unused. That may explain the floor tile but the wallpaper (oh so flowery!) looks like it may date back a few decades more.
