Conveyor Belt Mid-point Nov 1, 2005

Given the opportunity to climb a giant 8-storey conveyor belt, who wouldn't take it? I mean, it sure looked like it would be a lot of fun. And it was... until the clouds got dark and it started raining while Andrew and I found ourselves faced with a downhill trek along wet concrete inside a slightly decrepit steel truss. Taking our time, we carefully descended and all was going well until we heard — and felt — the entire structure deflect perhaps an inch. This was not reassuring. We were still about 5 storeys up.
