Brick-lined tunnel for storing newly baked bricks while they cool

Brickworks Tunnel

I've always liked the tunnels (or perhaps more accurately the brick cooling areas?) at the Brickworks. And even though I already have very similar photos in my Don Valley Brickworks gallery, I returned recently to reshoot the building with the digital SLR.

The place has also become a bit of a popular destination for Toronto photographers over the past year or so. Whether or not this is a good thing I'm not sure. What's certain is that it destroys the ambience of the experience when a bunch of kids run in and start bumping around like it's their personal playground. Then again, Jon's convinced that a trip to the Brickworks is one of the best ways to view the social wackiness of Toronto. He's probably right.
