Gears

I found two bicycle wheels attached to a chain-link fence down by the railroad tracks (in the Bathurst and Front area). The rusted gear almost perfectly matched the rusted fence, and the colour of the railroad tracks was similar. I suppose a palette of 'rust, rust and some grey steel' (the 'space-marine' palette) isn't entirely pleasant, but architecture school has a way of coercing you to enjoy the ruin above all else.

Exhibition today: Jenn and I are hosting an exhibit of oil painting and photography today and tomorrow (April 3rd and 4th, 2004). It's at The Glass Chimney on Main Street, Unionville.
