Another shot of the turbine room, taken from the floor level looking at maybe 60% of the space. There's not much I could do with my little digital camera to deal with the over-exposure here, so I'll just say I like it that way and it's intentional. Done.
This place is mammoth in size! good use of light! we were there last sunday without being blessed with the light you had to your diposal pics were improved later wit cs to improve shadow and highlights with the stills.

The R. L. Hearn's generators ran nearly continually in the 1950's and 1960's with very high reliability. On only one day did the plant and the workers fail to provide reliable electricity to the people of Ontario .. November 9, 1965. After the blackout, blackstart combustion turbines were installed to insure it didn't happen again.

The RL Hearn had 8 units with a capacity of 1200 megawatts. There
are 12 turbine generators on the 3rd floor turbine floor.

great finish to a great collection. i think the blast of light works real well against all the complex construction surrounding it.
