I've always referred to this as the Turbine Hall (both in this station, and in others like the Lakeview Generating Station and Hearn Generating Station). However, I had it wrong all along and one reader was recently kind enough to point out the issue.

This Is a Generator, Not a Turbine

That's right. We're looking at the top of the system — the generator, which generates electricity. The bottom of the system — where the water rushing down the penstock causes blades to turn — is the turbine. The turbine is connected to the generator with a shaft.

Now, I won't be fixing all the URLs related to this page and the others in this section quite yet. But rest assured, I now know the difference. (Kind thanks to John S.!)
