Industry at Sunrise Jul 1, 2006

I had high hopes for this shot. It seems fine at the web resolution shown here but unfortunately the original is blurry (which demonstrated my inability to focus the camera when it was nearly pitch black outside amongst -20 degree Celsius temperatures).

So the frustrating part is I'll never be able to print this one (at least not at a large size). Argh.

To make matters more frustrating, I decided to return to the power station a few months later to attempt to recreate most of this shot at a sharper and larger resolution. Sadly, the demolition of the facility had begun and the only thing demolished by this point? The conveyor belts and cranes silhouetted in this shot. Argh. Once again I'm reminded that with these places you may never have a second chance to shoot anything.
