Some sample pieces — this is the end result of the aluminum extrusion process. These pieces are then shipped off to whoever is next in the manufacturing process. They'll take these shapes and modify them for their needs (by drilling holes in them for example).

It's probably safe to say that you'll find extruded pieces in the parts list of most manufactured products (from boats to refridgerators).
