The concrete rubble at the end of the Leslie Street Spit

Lighthouse at Vicki Keith Point

If you're at the location of the previous photo and look over your shoulder, you'll see the lighthouse at the end of the Leslie Street Spit. The automated lighthouse (built in 1974) marks the end of the spit. It's now known as Vicki Keith Point, referring to the Canadian swimmer who set a number of records and swam all five Great Lakes.

As mentioned in the previous photo, this part of the spit is a dumping ground for debris from construction sites. While the foreground might appear to be pebbles and stones, it mostly consists highly weathered bricks and concrete.
