Desk and Window

April 19, 2006

Talk about a room with a view...

This is a fairly accurate depiction of most ground floor rooms in any abandoned building. Everything is boarded up until you get up a floor or two. The oddity here was having any natural light at all and in this case it was greatly appreciated.

The odd thing about this image? It feels like it came from an IKEA catalog. I can easily see a large price set in Helvetica sitting to the side of the window...

Love this. Would also like to see it from further away as the paint provides a number of visual horizons as does the radiator. The light from the glass-filled window beside this would also be more visible and provide more tension. However ... my jaw dropped at composition "as is" ... only suggestions to improve on something wonderful.

That is quite a dense "woods" outside that window! The desk is identical to the one I am sitting at. Ugly and definately not made for computer use. I love this shot.

had the table been scooted so that the shot was symmetrical, i think you'd have had a winner here.
