Too Close for Comfort Jan 7, 2005

I've been wanting to play with some close-up adaptors and so after work today I ran out and picked up a typical kit (+1, +2, +4 diopters). It lets me get even a bit closer than my macro lens (I'll have to try combining them all together to see how ridiculously close I can get).

Unfortunately, focusing gets difficult — not that manual focus on the G2 was ever that great to begin with. And the depth of field is wafer-thin. Ideally here I'd be focused on the actual iris, but this was all done blind basically so I'm happy that anything at all was in focus. Anyways, something new to play with...
