Cracked Steel

A steel plate (from the ship being dismantled) torn, or cracked.

There probably won't be an update for another day or two... hopefully I'll have some interesting photos to explain when I get back.

Update May 29 2005: I've put a small gallery of photos online from this visit to a shipbreaking yard in Port Colborne.

This is excellent. On the RSS feeder, I thought you started taking pictures of streams :) Whew! This is much better.

I didn't realize Rome was now resting in southern Ontario in the form of a junked boat...

Great capture! The composition with the crack works very well - the object isn't immediately recognizable as a delapidated boat.
