Garage with Skylight Oct 14, 2004

I alternately like (mildly) and hate (strongly) this one. The light from the skylight is far too extreme and I just don't think the contrast of the background works with that of the foreground. On the other hand, I like the amount of detail and light given to the blue vespas in the front, and the orange/yellow truck.

I guess the issue is consistency. I was quite divided as to whether I should post this. Could this shot be saved otherwise or does it just have too many problems?

The one thing I *am* a fan of here is the selective colouring. I think it actually helps - there just needs to be more detail in the black and white (instead of that extreme sunlight). I guess I'll just keep on learning...
