Stair Detail

Today's photo is a stairwell I found while walking through the underground PATH system on the way to the subway. I've been through the entire system before but I wasn't entirely familiar with the Scotia Plaza area. I found an old stairwell (i.e., part of the original buildings before the towers went up) between Scotia Plaza and Commerce Court, complete with marble risers, brass hand rails and some patterned iron railings.

The photo is sort of architectural (which appeals to me) but also the varying types of light hitting this area made for some odd colouration. There was everything from flourescent to incandescent to natural light hitting this single stair.

Unrelated: Nobody's guessed what Abstract no.1 is yet. :)
