Having had little time to take out the camera recently (read: house, move, painting, etc..) I finally decided to head out last night for some photos. It was raining. Argh.. so I went to the end of the street (our new street!) and hid under the roof of the car wash and so, voila! Photos from a car wash.
It's hard to believe, but this photoblog is approaching its 1 year anniversary...

great shot, that combination of colours is always killer for an urban environment.
A year eh? Wow, a year ago I wouldn't have known a medium format camera from a rangefinder. Now I feel like a photo geek :D
The colors and the geometry of the image are very nice. I'm actually really fond of shooting pictures in the rain. If you can work out the small detail of keeping your investment in photography equipment dry, then the pics can be quite interesting.
This is really intriguing if you look at the hole on that wall. It seems to go on forever. Nice shot.
This picture represents the tranquility of infinity with the realism of where we live. Good colors, just needed a bird sitting above the chamber (door) window?
does that say "Cream of Car Wash"? JK. wow. look at the depth here and the mirror within mirror quality...i feel like i'm in the funhouse looking through the glass window to the outside but i don't want to leave.
GREAT image. SOO gritty!!!!!!! I love the colors. That on bit of warm color in the sign is a nice touch. I too find the windows in the walls very intriguing. They really look like the go on for ever. I also like the object on the first window. I can't tell what it is , but it adds interest a Pack of cigarettes?)
i love it. i really do. the way the holes in the wall seem to go on forever, yet there's still a sense of closure. I love the colors and how in the backround it seems as if all life goes on but at the carwash time is standing still. beautiful...just beautiful.
wonderful shot.
it took me a little time to work out that mise en abime with the windows. rainy days can do wonders photography-wise.
This is great...I love shots like this. Espcially when using mirrors (like the one you had in teh convention centre).
