Cracked Paint on Rusting Metal

August 27, 2004

Taken at a scrapyard over in the Dundas West area. The late-afternoon sun made the rust surprisingly vibrant. I like how it looks like there are 3 separate pieces blended together. It's all about the texture...

I'm off to the cottage for the weekend so no updates until Monday probably. MUST SLEEP.

.....the fury and passion of two lovers from opposite sides of the earth, water and oil, embracing like the cure and the disease…ravishing each other hand in hand …handsome yet hideous, infectious attraction.

This is the most startling and interesting abstract I've seen on the site. Possibilities most photos like this don't have. Nice.

I'm truly surprised at the reactions to this image - I thought it was going to be 'just another abstract texture'. Thanks for the comments - I really appreciate seeing the different responses to the photos! And now, it's off to the cottage...

Texture,contrast,color, composition . .it has
it all! I like it. Too many parallelism you
can derive from. I particularly liked shellie's
description. The drama!
